In an official order, the Governor of Assam, Professor Jagdish Mukhi, appointed Dr. Ajanta Nath, the new chairman of the Assam Public Service Commission, with immediate effect.
Dr. Nath replaces the former APSC chairman retired IAS Rajiv Kumar Bora.
Dr. Ajanta Nath has been serving as a member of APSC since 2018.
Hailing from Jamugurihat in Sonitpur, Dr. Nath is an associate professor at Tyagbir Hem Baruah College in Jamugurihat.
