In a distressing incident at a busy bus stand in Kuttippuram, North Kerala, a 27-year-old man from Assam was discovered consuming the raw flesh of a cat, driven by extreme hunger after days without food.
The shocking event unfolded on Saturday evening, with local residents witnessing the man sitting on the bus stand stairway, consuming the cat’s raw flesh.
The senior police officer revealed that concerned locals reported the incident, prompting a visit from law enforcement. The man, hailing from Dhubri district in Assam, explained that he had not eaten any food for the past five days.
Responding to the situation, the police provided him with food, which he accepted without hesitation. However, he later disappeared from the location without informing anyone.
Upon receiving information the next morning that the youth was found at a local railway station, the police located and questioned him further. According to the man’s statements, he was a college student in the northeastern state and arrived in Kerala by train in December without notifying his family. Authorities contacted his brother in Chennai, confirming the information’s accuracy.
Following a preliminary medical examination, the man was admitted to a mental hospital in neighboring Thrissur.
