The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Government of India, has awarded the prestigious Best Police Station Certificate to Digboi Police Station in Tinsukia district, Assam, for its outstanding performance in maintaining law and order and serving the community.
The certificate, presented by the Union Home Ministry in New Delhi, recognizes the station’s exemplary dedication to public service, professionalism, and effective policing, establishing it as a benchmark for police stations across Assam.
The Officer-in-Charge of Digboi Police Station will be formally honored with the award by the Director General of Police (DGP), Assam, during a special ceremony at the Assam Police Headquarters Conference Hall in Ulubari, Guwahati, on August 24.
Authorities noted that this accolade reflects the tireless efforts and commitment of the Digboi Police Station personnel, who have consistently earned public trust and played a pivotal role in enhancing safety and security in the region.
This recognition is poised to motivate other police stations in Assam to emulate Digboi’s high standards of efficiency, transparency, and community-focused policing.
