Comic Con India is set to make its Northeast debut with Guwahati joining the lineup of host cities for the 2025–26 season. The inaugural edition, Comic Con Guwahati, will be held on November 22 and 23, organizers announced.
The expansion marks a major milestone for the country’s biggest pop culture festival, which has steadily grown across Indian metros since its inception. Fans in the Northeast will now have the chance to experience the event’s signature mix of comics, anime, cosplay, gaming, and live entertainment.
Tickets for the two-day event are already available on the District app, with organizers expecting participation from across Assam and neighboring states. “This is more than launching a new city; it is a cultural and creative expansion for the vibrant fandom of the Northeast,” said Akshat Rathee, Co-founder and Managing Director of NODWIN Gaming, the parent company of Comic Con India.
Comic Con India said the decision reflects recognition of the region’s growing fanbase and its enthusiasm for global and local pop culture. The event will showcase comic creators, cosplay competitions, gaming zones, merchandise stalls, and interactive sessions with artists.
Guwahati’s inclusion takes Comic Con India beyond its traditional metro audience, highlighting what organizers describe as a commitment to nurturing youth culture and fandom communities nationwide.
With the addition of Guwahati, Comic Con India now extends its reach to the Northeast, offering fans in the region a chance to participate in what is billed as India’s largest celebration of comics and popular culture.
