In a tragic incident late Monday night, Sub-Inspector Junmoni Rabha was killed in a severe road accident on National Highway 37, near Sarubhagia, under the jurisdiction of Jakhlabandha police station in Nagaon district.
Rabha, who was known for his dedicated service as the Officer in charge of Mariklong Police Station, was reportedly driving her Maruti car, license plate number AS 01 EN 7273. Reports suggest that Rabha lost control of her vehicle and collided with a container truck, number UP 78 UT 4518, that was approaching from the opposite direction.
The high-speed impact resulted in the immediate death of SI Junmoni Rabha, turning the scene into one of tragedy and loss. The accident reportedly occurred around 2pm, and local police from Jakhlabandha were promptly on site, taking necessary actions and securing the area.
On receiving the tragic news, Leena Doley, the Superintendent of Police for Nagaon district, arrived at the accident site later to assess the situation and oversee the ongoing investigation.
In the aftermath of the incident, SI Rabha’s body has been transported to Nagaon for a postmortem examination.
