Over 30 students from various parts of Assam, chosen through a rigorous selection process, are set to begin their training on Monday to become officers in the armed forces. This initiative, known as the ‘Super 30’ program, is a collaborative effort between the Indian Army, the state government, and the NGO National Integrity and Educational Development Organisation (NIEDO). The program aims to motivate and prepare talented youth from Assam to join the armed forces as officers.

The second edition of the ‘Super 30’ program is commencing in Tamulpur, following the launch of the first program in Dibrugarh in November of the previous year. The initiative is in response to the need for more officers from the state within the armed forces.

The program will be a residential training initiative conducted at the Army Station in Tamulpur, with two batches of students set to be inducted this year. The training will focus on preparing the students for the rigorous selection process conducted by the Service Selection Board (SSB). Additionally, the program underscores the commitment of the armed forces to encourage and facilitate the participation of talented individuals from Assam in officer roles.
