A 22-year-old youth, Pramod Kalita, has been arrested by Kalaigaon Police in Udalguri district of Assam allegedly ‘supporting’ ULFA-I on Facebook. Pramod is a fourth-semester student at Tangla College in the Udalguri district.
Pramod Kalita allegedly commented on social media that supported the banned organization ULFA-I.
He wrote on Facebook –
A case has also been registered under the unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) according to the FIR vide Case 72/22. Accordingly, he was booked under section 120 (B)/121/121(A) r/w Section 39 of the anti-terror law.
