Assam: Young man burned alive in Nagaon during a public hearing

A strange incident occurred on Saturday in the state in the Bor Lalung area of ​​Nagaon. An inhumane incident was reported where a person was burnt alive during a public hearing.

“A man was burnt alive after being found guilty of murder during a public trial. After his death we got information that his body was buried. Later, the body was recovered and seized. Some accused have been arrested in connection with the case,” said Deputy Superintendent of Police M Das.

The murdered man has been identified as Ranjit Bordoloi, a resident of Bor Lalung Gaon. Police said that he was burnt on the charge of murdering a woman.

When the body was exhumed and examined under the direction of a magistrate, 90 percent of the body was found burnt. The police said that a proper investigation would be conducted in the case and action would be taken against the culprits.
