Assam Tea: Rare variety of Pabhojan Gold tea sold for Rs 1 lakh per kg

Pabhojan Gold Tea, a rare variety of organic tea from Assam’s Golaghat district, was sold for Rs 1 lakh per kg on Monday. This is the highest bid this year at the auction centre in Jorhat.

Jorhat Tea Auction Center (JTAC) officials said the tea was sold to Esah Tea by Pabhojan Organic Tea Estate. Esah Tea is an Assam-based tea brand. Bijit Sarma, CEO, Esah Tea, said that this tea variety would help provide the finest tea blends of Assam to their customers. This rare tea variety will be a great experience for tea connoisseurs.

Pabhojan Gold Tea offers a bright yellow liquor with a soothing after-taste and is made from the choicest second flush tips plucked from the tea estate.

Pabhojan Gold tea is now available on Esah’s official website, and it costs Rs 1999 for 20 Grams and Rs 4999 for 50 Grams.
