The Hon’ble Chief Minister of Assam, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, announced the names of this year’s “Assam Vaibhav,” “Assam Saurav,” and “Assam Gaurav” awards at a press conference at Janata Bhavan. These awards are the Assam State’s Highest Civilian Award, which started in 2021.

Last year, the ‘Assam Baibhav’ Award carried a cash of five lakh Rupees and the State Government will bear all the medical expenses of the recipient of the award, ‘Assam Saurav’ carried cash of four lakh Rupees and the State Government will bear medical expenses of upto two lakh Rupees and ‘Assam Gaurav’ carried cash of three lakh Rupees and State Government will bear the medical expenses of upto two lakh Rupees including free staying at all Assam Houses and Assam Bhaban, informed the Chief Minister.
He added that this year the Award amount might get enhancement, and the date will also be announced later.
