The resignation of Kampa Borgoyari, considered an influential leader of BPF, has given a big blow to the party ahead of the Bodoland Territorial Council elections. There was speculation about his leaving the party for a long time, which finally proved to be true. On Sunday, he officially resigned from BPF.

It is worth noting that before the Lok Sabha elections, another vice-president of BPF and former minister Chandan Brahma left the party and joined UPPL.
