A major blow to Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) ahead of the BTC elections. Senior BPF leader Kampa Borgoyari has resigned from primary membership of the party. He was vice-president of BPF and was serving as the deputy chief executive member of BTC during the tenure of Hagrama Mohilary.

The resignation of Kampa Borgoyari, considered an influential leader of BPF, has given a big blow to the party ahead of the Bodoland Territorial Council elections. There was speculation about his leaving the party for a long time, which finally proved to be true. On Sunday, he officially resigned from BPF.

Khampa Borgayari's resignation letter

BPF vice-president and senior leader Kampa Borgoyari on Sunday submitted his resignation to party president Hagrama Mohilary. However, he has not yet clarified which political party he will join. But according to the information, he can clear his position in a press conference on February 6.

It is worth noting that before the Lok Sabha elections, another vice-president of BPF and former minister Chandan Brahma left the party and joined UPPL. Now Kampa Borgoyari’s resignation has given another big blow to BPF. This decision can have a serious impact on the Bodoland Territorial Region’s politics.
