Assam: Police action continues against terrorist module in Assam; four terrorists of AQIS and ABT arrested

Assam Police has once again taken action against AQIS and Ansarullah Bangla team. On Monday, the police in the Nalbari and Tamurpur districts of the state took action against people belonging to AQIS and Ansarullah Bangla team. Nalbari SP PK Nathu informed us about this action. He said four people from the AQIS and Ansarullah Bangla team had been arrested from these two districts. Apart from this, some other people are also on the radar of the police. He also told that the police would not allow any fanatic to flourish in the state. Action is being taken against such people continuously.

After the busting of the terrorist module in Assam, the process of arresting terrorists is going on here. Many terrorists have been arrested in the last few days. All had links to ABT and Al Qaeda. Apart from this, links of all these terrorists were also found with regional madrasas. Through these madrassas, they used to raise money for terrorist organizations and recruit youth. Assam Police has arrested more than 38 people linked to AQIS/ABT since March this year.

Since the madrassa link of the terrorists came to the fore, demolishing these madrassas has been going on. In the past, madrasas in Barpeta, Bongaigaon and Gopalpara were demolished. In Gopalpara, the local people themselves demolished the madrasa. The case of a man who sheltered terrorists for four years came to light in a madrasa in the Barpeta district. Apart from this, the Markjul Ma-Arif Quariana Madrasa located in Kabitari Part-IV village of Bongaigaon district was demolished. Similar action was also taken in Gopalpara.
