Assam: Janta Bhawan is shifting to paperless administration from 2nd October 2022

On Monday, Assam Cabinet decided that Janta Bhawan (Assam secretariat) will shift to the paperless mode for many administration purposes from 2nd October 2022. Minister Public Health Engineering, Skill Development Employment & Entrepreneurship, and Tourism Jayanta Mallabaruah addressed the press at a cabinet meeting.

He also stated that Standard Operating Procedure for e-Files disposal would also be issued soon. With This govt aims to shift to paperless administration.

Taking to Twitter, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that – In today’s #AssamCabinet, we took several decisions pertaining to widening scope of Master Plans, framing a logistics policy, auction of seized vehicles, relaxing promotion norms to fill up posts of BDO, easing GIS payment norms, etc.
