Assam Agriculture Minister Pijush Hazarika on Wednesday highlighted the rapid progress of the state's ongoing farmer registration campaign, stating that enrolment is advancing swiftly across several districts.

According to the Minister, the registration drive is witnessing encouraging participation in districts including Sonitpur, Hojai, Nagaon, Morigaon and Kamrup Metropolitan, with officials working to ensure that every eligible farmer is brought under various government welfare schemes.

Sharing the update, Hazarika appreciated the dedicated efforts of Agriculture Department officials, saying their commitment to reaching farmers at the grassroots level has played a key role in the successful implementation of the campaign.

The Minister said the objective of the registration drive is to maximise enrolment and connect eligible farmers with the benefits of government schemes aimed at improving agricultural productivity, financial assistance and overall rural development.

The state government has been encouraging farmers to complete their registration so they can avail themselves of various agriculture-related incentives and support programmes.
