Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma Reshuffles Cabinet, Assigns Portfolios to Four New Ministers

Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma has reshuffled his ministry on Monday. The Chief Minister assigned new portfolios to four new ministers who took oath a few days ago. Along with Them departments of many ministers already in charge were also changed.

Four new members were included in the cabinet on Saturday. These are Prashant Phukan, Rupesh Gowala, Kaushik Roy and Krishnendu Paul. With these four ministers, the total number of current members of the Assam cabinet becomes 18. The details of the distribution and reshuffle of cabinet departments on Monday are as follows-

1. Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma – Chief Minister

• Home Department (except Prisons, Home Guards, and Civil Defense, and other subjects of the Department as and when entrusted by Chief Minister from time to time to Shri Rupesh Gowala, Minister).

• Public Works Buildings and National Highways (except Buildings of GAD and other subjects of the Department as and when entrusted by Chief Minister from time to time to Smt. Nandita Gorlosa, Minister).
