The discussions reportedly focused on state financing, infrastructure funding, tax-related matters, and enhancing Assam’s role in the national economy. While no official statement has been issued yet, officials familiar with the discussions noted that the meetings reflect a strategic push to strengthen Centre–State collaboration on economic and governance goals.
The series of high-level meetings comes amid a period of rapid infrastructural transformation in Assam, with the state government actively pursuing new investments in connectivity, education, healthcare, and digital infrastructure.
