On August 5, 10 students of Anganwari Kendra in Kakapathar were admitted to hospital as they consumed phenyl. Phenyl was added to the food as milk. The incident has sparked reactions across the region.
As per the reports, the incident occurred at Na-Maithang Anganwadi Center in Kakpathar. Phenyl was added to the food, thinking of milk.
It is worth mentioning that people across the state are celebrating World Breastfeeding Week from 1st August to 7th August.
