Himanta Biswa Sarma, the chief minister of Assam, went to Nagaon and Nalbari on February 2 to check on the progress of their hospitals and medical colleges. While visiting Nagaon medical college and hospitals, the chief minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma, visited the outpatient, inpatient, and other facilities constructed in the medical college.
During his visit, the chief minister of Assam also interacted with faculty members.
The Assam chief minister stated that the state government is attempting to launch academic programmes and other treatment facilities in Nagaon, Nalbari, and Kokrajhar’s medical colleges.

The Assam chief minister said that the state government plans to open the Nagaon and Nalbari medical colleges this year. He said this while talking about the National Medical Council (NMC) team’s inspection of the Kokrajhar medical college and hospital and the expected inspections of the Nagaon and Nalbari medical colleges.

Later, Himanta Biswa Sarma, the chief minister of Assam, and Keshab Mahanta and Jayanta Mallabaruah, the state’s health and family welfare ministers, toured the Nalbari medical college and looked at many things, such as the facilities for treatment and education.
As the medical college and hospital prepare for an inspection by the National Medical Council, the chief minister of Assam said that the hospital’s physical progress is quite satisfactory.
The chief minister of Assam asked the hospital’s faculty and other management staff to do what they could to make sure that the medical college and hospital follow NMC rules about faculty status and other issues.
Since building a good public health care system and giving students a good medical education are the government’s top priorities, the Assam chief minister said that the government is working hard to put medical colleges and hospitals in every district of the state.
